Objects of Great Value, 2011

Objects of Great Value was the inagural exhibition at Botanic Gallery, in Brooklyn NY.
The Show, presented in a storefront near a local wine shop, used
appropriation and distortion of re-created cultural artifacts to
attend to questions of use, value, and material worth. The work draws
attention to the aesthetic conventions that we use to distinguish the
mundane versus rarified object, art & artifacts, and material versus
immaterial wealth.
